Everyone feels a lack of confidence at some time and in some situations. It is just that some people manage the uncomfortable feelings more effectively than others. They take themselves into a positive cycle of thinking, feeling and doing that in turn builds confidence. Confidence breeds confidence.
We all need a good store of confidence and self-esteem to draw on. Building that store is a priority. Our store can be low because of our life’s experiences. These experiences create our image of ourselves and we live according to this image. As we see it, it is ‘the truth’ about us. However, some of this ‘truth’ is so imperfect it locks us into unhelpful beliefs and behaviours. It lowers our self-esteem and undermines our confidence.
Once we take on these unhelpful attitudes and beliefs about ourselves, we are stuck with them until we consciously decide we want to change them. They are stored subconsciously and our unconscious mind will work creatively to sustain them.
The wonderful thing is that, since we can learn unhelpful ways of thinking, feeling and doing, we can also unlearn them and replace them with positive and empowering ways. This is particularly so with the help of hypnosis, which enables the unconscious to become open to new and positive possibilities.
Using techniques drawn from hypnosis, EFT and NLP, I can help you to build your store of confidence and self-esteem. I can help you to adopt positive ways of relating to yourself and others, so that you create the positive cycle of belief and behaviour that will free you to be the person you want to be.
